Stempeleinmaleins: Pop Up Box in a card

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Hoffentlich hattet Ihr alle einen guten Start ins neue Jahr! Und natürlich möchten wir Euch auch dieses Jahr viele Ideen mit Euch teilen. Starten werden wir mit einer Pop Up Box in einer Karte.

Hopefully you had a good start into this new year! And of course we also want to share lots of ideas with you this year. Let's get started with this Pop Up Box in a card.

Ihr braucht:

1 Stück Cardstock 30 x 10,5 cm
1 Stück Cardstock 30 x 2,5 cm
2 Stück Cardstock 9,5 x 2,5 cm
Designpapier
Schere, Falzbein, Kleber

1 piece of cardstock 30 x 10,5 cm
1 piece of cardstock 30 x 2,5 cm
2 pieces of cardstock 9,5 x 2,5 cm
designer's paper
scissors, bone folder, glue

Nehmt zuerst das größere Stück Cardstock und falzt es bei 7,5 und 15 cm. Beklebt dann die einzelnen Teile mit andersfarbigem Cardstock oder Designpapier. Macht zuerst eine Berg-, dann eine Talfalte, so dass die beiden kleineren Teile aufeinanderfalten.

Take the larger piece of cardstock and fold it at 7,5 and 15 cm. Then put contrasting cardstock or designer's paper on the different sections of you card base. Fold it starting with a mountain fold and then a valley fold so the two smaller parts fold on top of each other.

Nun wird der schmale Streifen gefaltet - und zwar bei 15 und 22,5 cm. Dreht ihn um und tragt nur auf die mit X markierten Stellen Kleber auf. Ich habe ganz leicht eine Markierung längs gemacht um zu zeigen, dass der Kleber nicht über die Mitte des 15cm breiten Abschnitts aufgetragen werden darf.

Now score the strip of cardstock at 15 and 22,5 cm. Turn it over and put glue on its back only in the areas that I marked with an X. I added another mark for you - just barely visible - to see, that the glue may not be added to more than the half of the 15 cm section.

Klebt nun den 15 cm breiten Teil auf den ersten 7,5 cm breiten Teil der Karte, bündig mit dem Rand der Kartenbasis.

Glue the 15 cm wide part to the first section of the card base measuring 7,5 cm aligning it with the edge of your card base.

Anschließend wird auch das andere Ende des Streifens auf die Karte geklebt, wieder direkt bündig mit der Karten-Außenkante.

Then glue down also the other end of the strip, again aligning it with the outer edge of your card base.

Die Karte faltet sich nun so zusammen, dass sie in gefaltetem Zustand nicht größer als eine reguläre Karte ist.

The card now folds closed in a way that it doesn't measure more than any regular card.

Die beiden kleinen Cardstockstreifen werden an beiden Enden jeweils bei 1 cm gefalzt und dann wie auf dem Bild zu sehen in den "offenen Bereich" der Karte geklebt. Ihr könnt auch mehr als diese zwei Streifen einsetzen, je mehr Ihr aber einsetzt, desto dicker wird die Karte.

The two small strips of cardstock now each get scored at 1 cm on both ends and then glued into the "open space" in your card as shown on the picture. You can add more than these two strips but the more you add the bulkier your card will be.

An diesen Cardstockstreifen werden nun die verschiedenen Lagen Eurer Szene festgeklebt. Achtet dabei darauf, dass Teile davon bei geschlossener Karte sichtbar sein wird. Außerdem solltet Ihr Euch vor dem Festkleben die Szene einmal auf Augenhöhe von vorne ansehen, ob sie so wirkt, wie Ihr das möchtet.

To these small strips the different pieces of your scene will be glued to now. Think abou the fact that parts of it will be seen when the card is closed.
