Knalltüte - smacker bag

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute möchten wir Euch eine weitere Idee zeigen, die prima zu Fasching (aber natürlich auch zu anderen Gelegenheiten) passt: eine Knalltüte. Die Idee kursierte vor ein paar Jahren schon mal, aber dann kam es wie so oft und sie ist in Vergessenheit geraten. Und dann, genau im passenden Moment, taucht sie irgendwo wieder auf.

Today we want to share another idea that goes great with Mardis Gras season (but of course also with a lot of other seasons or for other occasions): a smacker bag. A few years ago this idea was shared online somewhere and it came like it comes often - it got forgotten. And then, right in the perfect moment, it re-appears.

Ihr braucht:

- eine Papiertüte (ich habe eine Brotzeittüte verwendet, die sind schön dünn und lassen sich durch den seitlichen Falz super aufblasen)
- ein Stück Strohhalm
- Klebeband
- Papierschneider oder eine Schere
- Konfetti

You'll need:
- a paper bag (I used a small lunch bag here since they are really thin but hold enough of air when inflated)
- a piece of a paperstraw
- doublesided tape
- a paper trimmer or pair of scissors
- confetti

Meine Brotzeittüte hatte oben einen nicht gleichhohen Abschluss - ich weiß nicht, ob das bei allen so ist. Darum habe ich den oberen Teil ein wenig gekürzt, um gleiche Kanten zu bekommen. Schneidet aber nicht allzu viel weg, sonst lässt sich die Tüte später schlecht aufblasen.

My paper lunch bags had different edges on the top - I have no idea if they all have or if it is just mine. So I've cut off a bit from the top to get even edges. Just don't cut off too much or your bag will be hard to inflate.

Nehmt dann doppelseitiges Klebeband und bringt es innen rundum entlang der oberen Kante an. Ich habe auch außen zwei kleine Stücke aufgeklebt, um die Falz seitlich zusammenzukleben, das habe ich aber nur aus optischen Gründen gemacht. Wichtig ist, dass Ihr das Klebeband innen wirklich rundum aufbringt, so dass die Tüte später möglichst dicht wird.

Use some doublesided tape and put it all around the top edge on the inside of your bag. I also added two small pieces to the outside so the two side pieces get glued together, but that is only for optical reasons. It's really important to really add the tape all around the bag to seal it as good as possible later on. 

Wenn Ihr Eure Tüte bestempeln möchtet, dann tut das jetzt und füllt sie dann mit Konfetti.

If you want to stamp onto your bag do it now - and then fill the bag with confetti.

Zieht dann erstmal nur an einer Längsseite den Schutzstreifen des Klebebandes ab und klebt mittig ein Stück eines Strohhalms auf. Papierstrohhalme sehen natürlich am schönsten aus, Ihr könnt aber genauso gut Plastikhalme verwenden. Steckt den Strohhalm nur ein wenig in die Tüte, sonst stört er später beim Platzen-Lassen.

Peel off the backing of your tape on just one of the long sides first and put a piece of a paper straw in the middle. If you don't have a paper straw, you can use one from plastic as well, but the paper ones just look nicer. Only put about 1/2" of the straw inside the bag or you might hurt your hand when bursting the bag later.

Zieht dann auch die Schutzfolie vom Rest des Klebebandes ab und klebt die Kanten zusammen. Drückt alles gut mit dem Fingernagel oder einem Falzbein an - vor allem rund um den Strohhalm -, damit die Tüte gut verschlossen ist.

Peel off the backing of the rest of the tape and glue the edges together. Use your finger tip or a bone folder to firmly stick the tape together, especially around the paper straw, to really seal your bag tightly.

Here's my finished bag again, but I have a close-up for you.

Meine Tüte ist mit Punkten bestempelt, darauf kam ein süßer Clown. Die Banner mit den Worten "Knalltüte" und der Anleitung habe ich am PC geschrieben, ausgeschnitten und mit Distress Ink eingefärbt. Ein paar Punkte aus schwarzem Enamel Accents und ein gebogener Pfeil kamen noch als Deko dazu.

I stamped some dots onto my bag and put the cute clown on top of it. The banners were generated with my computer, printed out and cut out. I also added a few dots from black Enamel Accents and a curved arrow. 

Und um Euch zu zeigen, dass die Idee auch prima für eine Hochzeit geeignet ist, habe ich noch eine weitere Variante gemacht:

Um sie massenproduktions-tauglich zu machen, ist sie wirklich ganz einfach gehalten. Aber vielleicht kann man damit z. B. die inzwischen überall verwendeten Seifenblasen ersetzen...

To make mass production easy and possible I really kept this one simple. And maybe this would be a replacement for the bubbles everyone is having at their weddings at the moment...

Ich habe hier mit einer Schablone und hellrosafarbener Tinte Herzen direkt auf die Tüte aufgewischt. Darüber habe ich zwei Herzen gestempelt und ein Banner mit dem Text "Lass es Liebe regnen" - wieder am PC geschrieben, geklebt. Gefüllt ist die Tüte hier mit aus rotem Cardstock ausgestanzten Herzen. Diese kleinen Pailetten-Herzen wären bestimmt noch besser, die fliegen schön da sie leichter sind, aber ich hatte keine zur Hand.

I used a stencil and light pink ink to add some hearts directly onto the bag. Then I stamped two hearts on it and put a banner with the text "let it rain love" - again printed with my home printer - across the bag. This one is filled with hearts hand punched from red cardstock. I guess those small sequin like hearts would be even better since they are lighter and fly farther, but I didn't have any.
