Der Begriff " ATC's " ist Euch sicher schon mal begegnet, aber Ihr hattet so gar keine Idee, was es damit auf sich hat? Dann will ich Euch heute ein paar Informationen dazu geben:

Perhaps you came across the word “ATC's” but you had no idea what's it all about? Then I'd like to give you some information today:
Artist Trading Cards (kurz ATC's) bedeutet übersetzt Künstler-Tauschkarten. Es sind kleine Originale, die als Einzelstück oder auch in kleinen Serien angefertigt werden und z. B. auf dem Stempelmekka und anderen Stemplertreffs getauscht und gesammelt werden. Im WWW gibt es auch spezielle Tauschbörsen nur für ATC's.

Artist Trading Cards (short ATC's) are small original pieces of art, which are created as unique piece or as little series. They are collected or traded, for example at the “Stempelmekka” or at other meetings for stampers. In the www there even are special swaps for ATC's.
Für die kleinen Kunstwerke gelten nur zwei feste Regeln:
-
sie haben immer die feste Größe von 2,5“ x 3,5“ (ca. 6,4cm x 8,9cm)
- sie sollten nie verkauft, sondern nur getauscht werden (logisch, sonst wären es ja auch keine „Tauschkärtchen“)

Creating these artworks you have to obey only two rules:
- the measurements always are 2,5” x 3,5” (ca. 6,4cm x 8,9cm)
- they are never sold, but exchanged or traded
Die Karten-Rohlinge gibt es schon zugeschnitten zu kaufen, preiswerter ist es allerdings, sie sich selbst zuzuschneiden. Außerdem habt Ihr so immer die passende Farbe für Eure Karte - und Reste von Cardstock haben wir doch alle genügend in der Schublade, oder?

You can buy the blank cards pre-cut, but of course it is more inexpensive to cut them yourself. This way you'll always have the perfectly matching cardstock for you card – and haven't we all got lots of stash to use?
Für die Ausgestaltung von ATC's gibt es keine weiteren Vorschriften. Man kann alle möglichen Materialien einsetzen: natürlich Stempelmotive, schöne Papiere, auch Charms, Blümchen, Bänder, Brads und Eyelets sind möglich – hier könnt Ihr Eurer Phantasie freien Lauf lassen. Nur sollte das ganze Kunstwerk nicht zu dick werden, damit es in die transparenten Sammelhüllen passt, in denen viele ihre Kärtchen aufbewahren.

For decorating your ATC's you can use all materials you like: stamped images of course, pretty papers, charms, flowers, ribbon, brads and eyelets – the sky's the limit. You should only see to it that your piece of art won't become too thick, so that it still fits into the collector's sleeves.
Ein ATC ist schnell gefertigt und aufgrund des kleinen Formats prima geeignet, um schnell mal neue Techniken oder ein neues Stempelmotiv auszuprobieren. Das fertige Kärtchen kann auch wiederum als Embellishment für eine „normale“ Karte weiterverwendet werden.

An ATC is quickly made and, due to its small measurements, perfect for trying new techniques or new stamps. The finished card can even be used as embellishment on a “normal” card.
Auf der Rückseite des ATC vermerkt man seinen Namen (evtl. Blogadresse o.ä.), Datum und Titel des Kunstwerks bzw. der Serie. Das kann man handschriftlich machen, oder Ihr benutzt einen Vordruck, den Ihr Euch auf dem PC erstellt habt. Es gibt allerdings auch ATC-Rückseiten-Stempel, meiner sieht z. B. so aus:

On the back of the ATC you write your name (your blog address), date and title of the artwork. You can do that by handwriting or you use a form created with your PC. There are even a lot of stamps available to mark the backside. I`ve got this one:
