Stempeleinmaleins: Explosion Purse

Hallo und herzlich Willkommen zu einer neuen Ausgabe beim Stempeleinmaleins. Heute zeigen wir euch eine Explosionstasche, die eine stattliche Größe hat, da sie aus einem 12 x 12 inch Bogen (30,5 x 30,5 cm) gemacht wird.

Hello and welcome to another episode of Stempeleinmaleins. Today we will show you an explosion purse which is quite big because it´s made from a 12 x 12 inch piece of yardstick (for centimeters see in brackets)

So let´s get started.

Als erstes wird der Bogen bei 4 und 8 Inch gefalzt auf allen Seiten.

First you score the paper at 4 and 8 inch.

Dann wird an den Ecken jeweils diagonal von der Spitze zur ersten Falz gefalzt, an allen vier Seiten.

Then you score at the edges diagonally from the edge to the first score line. Repeat on all four sides.

Danach markieren wir uns links und rechts in den mittleren Falzen die Mitte und ziehen eine Linie von der Falz zur Mitte. Das Bild erklärt sehr gut, was ich meine.

Then make a mark line to the left and right piece in the middle. Draw a line from the middle to the score line. Please see the picture, it makes it clear.

Als nächstes widmen wir uns noch einmal den Ecken. Von der ersten oberen Falz zur ersten unteren Falz ziehen wir uns eine Hilfslinie.

Then see the edges again. From the first score line make a mark to the other score line edge. It cuts the upper squares in half.

Das machen wir wieder an allen vier Seiten, es sieht dann so aus.

Ziemlich wild, was ? ;-)

Repeat on all four sides. Now this looks wild, right?

Die Dreiecke an den Ecken schneiden wir alle weg.

Snip off the edges and it will look like this hexagon.

Nun knicken wir alle Falzlinien. Für die beiden Hilfslinien nehmt ihr am besten ein Lineal zur Hand, sie werden nämlich auch geknickt.

Now fold over all score lines, also the ones in the middle. A ruler will help you folding.

Dann nehmen wir uns etwas, um daraus einen Verschluss zu machen. Ich habe mir die Form der Top Note genommen und entlang der langen Seite gefalzt und oben am Cardstock angebracht.

Next we make the closure of the purse. I took the Top Note, folded it in half along the long side and attached it to the cardstock from one side.

Jetzt fehlt noch ein Magnet oder ein Klettverschluss am Verschluss und es kann verziert werden. Ich verstecke Magnete immer gerne hinter Designpapier.

Now use a magnet or felt to close your purse. I prefer magnets and cover them by DSP so they become invisible.
