Geschenkanhänger können so unterschiedlich sein! Wir hatten euch ja bereits gezeigt, wie man mit Nesting Dies/Spellbinders oder Rahmenstempeln Geschenkanhänger machen kann, heute setze ich noch einen drauf!

Gift tags can be so different! We've already shown you how to make them with Nesting Dies/Spellbinders oder frame stamps, today I want to show you another option!

Ich habe den obigen Rahmenstempel von Stampavie für meine Geschenkanhänger genommen. Wie ihr seht, sitzen da normalerweise Vögel im Rahmen, aber die wollte ich nicht mitstempeln, also habe ich das Motiv verändert/"gealtert".

I used the frame stamp from Stampavie for my gift tags. You can see that there normally are birds sitting in the frame but I don't wanted to stamp them. So I had to alter the image.

Ich habe die Vögel einfach mit Tesakrepp abgeklebt. Auf diese Weise färben sich die Piepmätze nicht mit ein, wenn ich den Stempel jetzt einfärbe! Bevor ich den Rahmen abstempele, entferne ich das Tesakrepp natürlich vom Stempel und...

Like you see in the pic I covered the birds with some tape. This way they won’t become inked up when inking the stamp! I removed the tape before stamping the frame and…

... habe nun den Rahmen ohne die Vögel abgestempelt! Nun möchte ich mein Hauptmotiv in das Oval stempeln. Ich weiß, dass ich es auch einfach über den Rahmen stempeln könnte, aber ich möchte, dass das Motiv nur innerhalb des Rahmens zu sehen ist und die Außenränder sauber und durchgängig gestempelt sind, also brauche ich eine Maske.

… now I have a frame without birds! Now I want to place my main image into the oval frame. I know I could stamp the image right over the frame but I don’t want to “break” the beautiful edge so I need a mask.

Ihr seht, dass ich diese Maske schon zuvor genutzt habe und wenn ihr genau hinseht, dann entdeckt ihr die Anhänger auch hier auf dem SEME (Geschenkanhänger mit Nesting Dies). Ich habe den Rahmen einfach auf einen großen Post It gestempelt und das innere Oval ausgeschnitten. Die Maske platziere ich, wie auf dem Bild zu sehen, über meinem Rahmen. Nun stempele ich mein Hauptmotiv einfach über die Maske in das Oval hinein. Habe ich euch schon erzählt, dass ich Clear Stamps super finde? Man kann einfach durch den Acrylklotz hindurchgucken und sieht genau wo man hinstempelt.

You see I used this mask before! You can find the tags on SEME as well if you take a closer look (Gift tags with Nesting Dies). To get a mask I stamped my image onto a thin paper (I used a big post it) and cut the middle oval out. I placed my mask over the frame like in the picture above and stamped my main image into the oval which isn’t covered from the mask. Did I tell you that I love Clear Stamps? You can look right through your acrylic block and you are always finding the right position for your image!

Wie ihr seht, passt das Motiv nun perfekt in den ovalen Rahmen.

Nachdem ich den obigen Anhänger fertig hatte, kam mir noch eine weitere Idee und ich habe noch einen Geschenkangänger gemacht.

After I prepared the tag above another idea came into my mind so I made a second tag.

Mein Motiv habe ich erst auf Aquarellpapier und danach noch einmal auf Maskenpapier abgestempelt. Leider ist mir der Stempel dabei aus der Hand gerutscht, aber das ist gar nicht so wild, da es ja nur eine Maske ist, die ich eh ausschneide. Also habe ich die wichtigsten Teile der Maske ausgeschnitten, sie über das Motiv geklebt und den ovalen Rahmen darüber gestempelt.

I stamped my image on my watercolor paper and then on masking paper. Unfortunately the stamp fell off my hand while stamping on my masking paper but it isn’t a problem because it’s only a mask and I have to cut the image out. I cut the important parts out, added the mask and stamped the oval frame over my image.

Als ich die Maske entferne, saßen Lucy & Kitty in dem ovalen Rahmen! Die Vögel könnt ihr nicht mehr sehen, da der Rahmen ja auf die Maske gestempelt wurde. Natürlich könnt ihr auch jeden anderen Rahmenstempel nehmen, den ihr zu Hause habt!

When I removed the mask I had Lucy & Kitty sitting in the oval frame! You don’t see the birds because they were stamped onto the mask. Of course you can take any other frame stamp you have at home, too.

Zum Schluss habe ich die Ovale noch mit verschiedenen ovalen Spellbinders ausgestanzt. Lucy habe ich per Hand ausgeschnitten. Hier habe ich ein ausgestanztes Oval als Schablone genommen und um die Beine und Füße dann einfach per Hand einen kleinen weißen Rahmen stehenlassen.

Now I cut the ovals out with different oval Spellbinders. Lucy is cut out by hand. I used an oval Spellbinders die cut as template for the oval parts and then cut out her legs and feet with a little white edge around them by hand as well as the oval.

Nestabilities Geschenkanhänger / gift tags

Und hier sind wir schon wieder mit der zweiten heutigen Ausgabe und der zweiten Variante von Geschenkanhängern. Natürlich gibt es noch viel mehr Möglichkeiten Geschenkanhänger selbstzumachen, aber wir haben ja noch vieeele Samstage vor uns und werden das Thema garantiert später noch einmal aufgreifen!

And here we are again with our second issue today and alternative gift tags. Of course there are so many more ways to create gift tags but there are a looot of other Saturdays left and we will come back to gift tags again somewhen.

Spellbinders/Nestabilities Geschenkanhänger

Spellbinders/Nestabilities gift tags

Für diese Geschenkanhänger braucht ihr Spellbinders/Nestabilities, Cardstock, Papier zum bestempeln, Stempel, Stempelkissen und Schwämmchen, Schleifenband und euer Coloriermedium.

You need Spellbinders/Nestabilities, cardstock, papers to stamp on, ink pads and sponges, ribbons and your color medium.

Da ich mit Aquarellstiften coloriere, nehme ich zum bestempeln immer Aquarellpapier (200g). Ihr müsst natürlich das Papier nehmen, welches zu euren Stiften/Farben passt! Bei den Spellbinders ist es egal welche Nestabilities ihr nehmt, hauptsache ihr habt mindestens zwei zusammenpassende Formen und Größen. Ich habe die runden Spellbinders (Größe 3) gewählt. Ihr stanzt nun also erst einmal den inneren Teil eures Geschenkanhängers, auf dem nachher auch das Motiv sein wird, aus.

As I'm using watercolor pencils to color my images I always use watercolor papers (200g) to stamp on. Of course you need to take the papers that are the best for your pencils/colors! It doesn't matter which Spellbinders you will take. You will only need two or more matching Nestabilities. I chose round Spellbinders (size 3). Now cut out your insides where to stamp on your images later.

Danach stanzt ihr die gößere Form aus Cardstock aus. Ich habe hier den gewellten Kreis (Größe 2) gewählt. Achtet darauf, dass euer Cardstock nicht zu dünn ist!

After that you need to cut out the bigger shape. I used round scalloped circles (size 2). Please be sure that your cardstock isn't too thin!

Danach stempelt ihr eure Motive auf die Innenteile. Ich habe hier wieder Tildas gewählt, einfach weil es sie ja mittlerweile in unterschiedlichen Größen gibt und sie supergut auf die kleinen Geschenkanhänger passen. Achtet beim abstempeln der Motive am besten immer darauf, dass ihr sie an die richtige Stelle stempelt, je nachdem wie euer Motiv steht/sitzt/ist. Tilda mit Mütze sähe, stempelt man sie auf die rechte Seite, ziemlich komisch aus, links jedoch wirkt der Anhänger mit diesem Motiv abgerundet. Gleiches gilt für die Mini-Tilda mit der Zuckerstange.

Then stamp your images to the inside-paper. I used Tildas again because you can get her in different sizes now and she is fitting perfectly to the gift tags. Please take care that you place your images in the right way. Tilda with hat doesn't look good sitting on the right side as well as Mini Tilda with candy cane on the left.

Nun müsst ihr eure Motive noch colorieren, die Ränder einfärben, alles zusammen kleben und ein Bändchen anknoten.

Now you only have to color your images in, ink the edges, glue everything together and add some ribbon.

Wer mag, der kann um das Motiv außen herum noch einen beigen oder grauen Schein malen. Ich nutze dazu einen hellgelben Tombow (020) und verwische die Farbe danach mit Wasser. So wirken die Motive gleich noch ein bisschen anders auf den Anhängern.

If you want you can add a vanilla or grey shine around the image. I'm using a light yellow Tombow pen (020) and water for it. The images are looking more bright after that.

Natürlich könnt ihr auch Bast oder anderes Band für eure Geschenkanhänger nehmen. Ich persönlich fand es bei diesen Anhängern mit dem Schleifenband einfach am schönsten. Tipp: Meine Bänder sind normalerweise Anhänger für Weihnachtskugeln von IKEA (KALLT 30x, gibt es in rot, schwarz und weiß zu je 1,99 Euro), aber ich hatte sie mir letztes Jahr zum basteln gekauft *g*.

Of course you can also take bast or other ribbons for your gift tags. I think that the satinribbon was the most beautiful ribbon for my tags. Tip: My ribbons are normally ribbons for christmas ornaments from IKEA (KALLT 30x you can buy them in red, black and white) but I bought them last year for my craftings *grin*.

Da meine Geschenkanhänger vorne beschriftet werden, habe ich hinten einen Siegelstempel aufgestempelt. Natürlich könnt ihr eure Anhänger auf der Rückseite beschriften, das ist ganz euch überlassen!

As I'm marking the front of my tags I added a seal stamp to the backside. But of course you can also inscribe the backside of your tags! Just decide what you like better.

Auch größentechnisch gibt es keine Grenzen! Im letzten Jahr habe ich sogar richtig große Geschenkanhänger dieser Art gemacht.

Geschenkanhänger / gift tags

Juchu, endlich ist wieder Samstag! Weihnachten kommt in riesen Schritten und wir haben eine weitere weihnachtliche Ausgabe für euch! Eine? Nein, drei! Ich mache heute den Anfang mit gleich zwei Geschenkanhängeranleitungen, also schaut euch unbedingt beide Anleitungen an und entscheidet dann, welche ihr nacharbeiten möchtet.

Gift tags with frame stamps

Ihr braucht ein Hauptmotiv, einige Rahmenstempel (in Geschenkanhängergröße), Band, eine Schere, Cardstock, Papier zum bestempeln, ein Stempelkissen, euer Coloriermedium und wenn ihr mögt auch Eyelets.

You need a main image, some frame stamps (gift tag size), ribbons or fibers, scissors, cardstock, papers to stamp on, an ink pad, your color medium and eyelets if you want.

Stempelt euer Hauptmotiv auf das Papier. Ich nutze am liebsten Aquarellpapier (200g). Danach nehmt ihr dann euren Rahmenstempel und stempelt ihn über das Hauptmotiv. Ich habe hier Tilda mit Weihnachtskranz genommen und wollte gerne Tildas Kopf auf dem Anhänger haben, also habe ich die Rahmen um ihren Kopf gestempelt.

Now stamp your main image. I always use watercolor paper (200g). Then take your frame stamp and stamp it above your main image. I used Tilda with Christmas wreath and wanted Tilda's face on my gift tag so I stamped my frames around her face.

Nun schneidet ihr die Anhänger aus. Ihr könnt einen kleinen Rand drum herum stehen lassen oder direkt an der Außenlinie schneiden, je nachdem wie es euch besser gefällt.

Now cut the tags out. You can cut them with a little white edge or directly at the lines. Just do what you like!

Jetzt sucht ihr euch passenden Cardstock und ggf. Eyelets für eure Geschenkanhänger aus.

Choose cardstock and matching eyelets (optional) for your gift tags.

Klebt die Anhänger erst einmal nur mit nicht permanenter Klebe auf den Cardstock und schneidet die Anhängerchen dann mit der Hand aus. Hierbei lasst ihr einen kleinen Rand um das Motiv herum stehen. Danach färbt ihr die Ränder der Cardstocktags mit einer dunkleren Farbe ein, um eventuelle Ungleichmäßigkeiten vom Ausschneiden zu verdecken. (Die Eylets habe ich hier nur zur Farbabstimmung auf die Anhänger gelegt!)

Add the tags with non-permanent glue to cardstock and cut the tags by hand out with an edge. Then ink the cardstock tag's edges with a darker color to conceal the little "freehand-cutting-mistakes". (The eyelets aren't fixed here, I only searched for the matching colors!)

Nun müsst ihr nur noch eure Motive colorieren, alles zusammen kleben und ein Bändchen anknoten. Fertig sind eure selbstgemachten Geschenkanhänger.

Now you only have to color your images in, glue everything together and add some ribbon. Finished are your selfmade gift tags.

Ich denke diese Geschenkanhängervariante ist für alle die keine Schneidemaschine haben optimal. Sicherlich sind diese Geschenkanhänger nicht perfekt, da sie halt mit der Hand ausgeschnitten werden, aber ich habe sie bereits im letzten Jahr verschenkt und da kamen sie sehr gut an.

I think this gift tag alternative is optimal for everyone without a cutting machine. Surely these gift tags aren't perfect, because they are cut by hand but I already give them away last year and all liked them.
