It's fall! I love to decorate my home matching to the season and what's autumnly? Pumpkins of course! While I surfed through the www I found a cute paper pumpkin idea at Pinterest. We will make this cute pumpkin today. Wanna join us?
- Designpapier und Cardstock
- Kreisstanze oder -schablone
- Stanze in Blütenform
- Kleber und Glue Dots
- pattern paper or cardstock
- packing paper
- circle die or template
- flower die
- folding tool
- glue and glue dots
Cut 10 circles from different pattern papers or cardstock. I used a circle with 7,1 cm in diameter.
Score all circles in half. I folded them by hand and used my scoring tool to get a plain fold.
Now cut off 0,7 cm from all the circles. I used my ruler for the first one. After that I took the first folded circle as template for all the others.
Fold, use as template, cut, ready! If you use different papers you can now decide the order of pattern.
If you want you can ink the circles.
And then glue the parts together. One half to the other.
This is the half pumpkin. You could also use it for a card.
Here are all 10 parts added together. Now you only have to close the pumpkin.
Already looks like a pumpkin!
Now you need a slim paper strip (1-2 mm). I used light green cardstock and my cutting board for this one. Bend both ends around a pencils or brush.
For the stem you need a scalloped circle from packing paper. I used a circle with 6,6 cm in diameter.
Wet the packing paper circle a bit and bend it from the middle.
Now glue to "stem contsruction" with a big glue dot or hot glue onto the pumpkin.
Maybe you also need some fall decoration for your home or to give away? Have fun while trying!
And here are the pumpkins from the team:
